Avi Tobias, Director of Sales & Marketing for AmTech International, participated along with over 400 cyclists from across the United States and Canada in the 2016 Bike 4 Chai fundraising event in August 2016.
The group raised over $6 million for Camp Simcha, an overnight summer camp for children with cancer, chronic conditions, genetic illnesses and disabilities.
Camp Simcha is just one of the many programs for seriously ill children that is provided by Chai Lifeline – www.chailifeline.org.
The first day of the ride consisted of 105.2 miles through Connecticut and Northern New Jersey ( total climb of 7,500 feet).
The second day consisted 56 miles through New Jersey and New York ( total climb of 4,500 feet). The ride concluded with all 412 riders riding into Camp Simcha and a gala celebration with many of the campers.
Former NFL All-Pro, New York Giants Wide Receiver Amani Toomer and 17-time Tour De France cyclist George Hincapie also participated in the event.
