Gear Broaching is a machining process that uses a specially designed, multi-toothed tool, called a broach, to remove material and cut a predetermined shape into the metal. The cutting edges of the broach are sequentially and progressively graduated by one cutting thickness, often allowing for the gear broaching process to be completed in one passage of the tool.
AmTech’s broaching machine production capabilities range from 2T-50T and up-to 72″ of stroke. AmTech’s production lines are optimized for OEM mid-high volume manufacturing requirements. From electronic component keyways to power transmission gear splines, AmTech’s engineering and production team is focused on meeting your drawing requirements.
Typical customer applications include: Automotive, Agriculture, Electronics, Heavy Duty Machinery, Marine, Medical Components, Off-Highway Vehicles and Power Transmission applications.
AmTech International provides an extensive variety of broaching services that can handle parts of any size, and in most metals such as carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass and copper.
