Stainless Steel Transducer

AmTech manufactures this stainless steel investment casting for part of a transducer used in the manufacture of exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valves.

The purpose of the EGR valve is to lower the vehicle’s exhaust emissions, by recirculating part of the exhaust gas and running it again through the engine combustion.

This results in the reduction of combustion temperature and a consequent more complete burn of fuel, while at the same time preventing the formation of more noxious greenhouse gases.

AmTech supplies this stainless steel investment casting to a large manufacturer of automotive fuel system parts.
