End Cap

AmTech manufactures these investment casting starter solenoid end caps for its client, a large manufacturer of automotive aftermarket parts.

The main purpose of the starter solenoid is to function as a bridge of contact between the starter motor and the battery. On turning the ignition switch, a small control current is generated by the battery, which is picked up by the solenoid and converted into a larger electric current that can then operate the starter motor.
