The design of the air compressor is quite intelligent. It utilizes an AC motor shaft that drives a connecting rod, which in turn powers the piston on both sides of the motor. The cylinder sleeves range is size from 1.2″ to 1.4″ and is manufactured from seamless extruded 6061-T6 aluminum pipe. This particular material grade was chosen by AmTech due to its excellent corrosion resistance and very low thermal expansion. To achieve the customer required specifications, we have developed a soft jaw automatic feeder for the CNC machine, which machines the inner diameter to the correct size. Additionally, we employ a roller burnishing tool to create an exceptionally smooth surface, ensuring a tight seal between the piston and cylinder.
